Dynamic India 2

From Outsource - Resource

Different visualizations describe the dynamic results of connections between different elements of Indian opportunity. The connections form “Virtuous Circles”, “Spirals Up”, “Network Effects”, and “Leverage”. The visualizations are a convenience to describe element connections that affect each connected element and emergent results.

The core element connecting to each unique condition is education and the accumulation of knowledge and know-how. Conditions connected:

1) A well-educated workforce with skills-including willingness to work in new languages, ability to adapt to working on demand basis (call and support centers, development schedules, development labs, etc), and the diversity of Indian society contributing to working with other societies

2) Academic and basal skills development is complemented by a well-deserved reputation for seeking continued learning and competency development for Indian staff. Individual and groups benefit from increased technical skill certifications, industry standards compliance, skills for practical conformance with work patterns, and continued academic pursuit of advanced degrees in foreign institutions. Indian academics are found in institutions large and small around the world. Respect for Indian skills and competencies has been well earned. The staff development is economical as much of this investment in capability is done “off hours”. The clear economic benefit is the capacity to rapidly constitute large teams where staff competencies are accepted in a global market.

3) Decades of Indian outsourcing engagements in global markets forms the basis of accepted prices and cost plans.

4) Growth of advanced communications networks (satellite and fiber) provides a foundation for global services delivered “remote” by Indian talent pools.

5) Indian entrepreneurs already exist in many societies globally. Their successful knowledge of local business, regulatory, governmental, and cultural factors enables Indian proposal capabilities on a global basis.

The next Dynamic India post will discuss how the connections discussed here interact.
