Dynamic India - 3

This is the third post in the Dynamic India series. The series starts out by saying that the Indian economy has five unique conditions setting it up for long term success. Today’s post talks about the interaction between those five conditions — educated workforce, tradition of academic and basic skills development, long experience in negotiating international consulting arrangements, a rich Indian Entrepreneurs global expatriate community.

The connections interact by:

A) Lifestyle sacrifices (relocation, working hours, delays in relationships, family responsibilities) are socially accepted and supported.

B) Starting with knowledge and education building know-how the sequential benefits come from investing in talent development

C) Social and cultural pressures provide enterprises with a flow of educated talent and social mechanics to provide upward mobility paths as talent becomes more valuable with experience.

D) Growth of social networks and social media provide reinforcement by status, network effects, and connection without mandatory regard to hierarchy, affinity, or geography.

E) Respect for credentials, experience, and achievement provides social reinforcement for entrepreneurship, innovation, and responsibility for creating new enterprises and employment.

F) Decreasing costs of compute, communications infrastructure, and network technologies reinforce and enable global enterprises and dispersed employment.

G) Efficient financial networks enable repatriation of earnings, international contracts, and creation of wealth thru enterprise and individual efforts.

The unique conditions enabling the value of these connections will continue as:

I) Cultural and social responses continue to reward education, self-sacrifice, and work-based credentials.

II) Status recognition from extended social and employment networks continues channeling opportunities to talent.

III) Economic rewards are commensurate with efforts and sacrifice to gain educational credentials.

IV) Individuals and families gain upward mobility from continuing opportunity.

V) Individuals can clearly observe benefits and rewards across large groups even if some individuals don’t gain as much.

Indian talents and enterprises will continue to see the rewards of generational talent investments. Dynamic India has a key opportunity to build a talent-driven future.

Our next post will discuss Agility in the Indian workforce and its value.
