3rd of Five Actions To Take

Our previous post “5 Actions to Take,” outlined actions needed immediately. Today’s post explores the third of the five actions to take in detail.

Are there enterprises, people, or government customer relationships affected by the conflicts where good communications are needed? What jurisdictions are they domiciled in?

Do Today: Follow the money. Know if any of the deals changing

Enterprises with relationships (even long standing ones) must be aware of the possible problems as conditions change. US restrictions (such as FCPA) require specific tracking documents and external data retention in support. Different domestic ownership rules (such as Tesla in China) may radically change long standing plans and expectations. Currency adjustments also affect perceptions of success and failure in foreign ownership and investments abroad. (Is there exposure to currencies like Turkish Lira, Russian Ruble, or Ukrainian Hryvnia?) A key for enterprises is to understand the domiciles (and relevant jurisdictions) of all investors (including passive investors), debt holders, and possible relationships between their representatives and regulated entities.

Our Next Post will explore another of the five actions in detail. You can read the whole series at our website – www.ekalore.com/ars
