Alien Invader: Adobe will Invade to Destroy Their Own Market, Here's What to Do for Process

Process: Plan a documented process -- informal won't work the best with new tools

Nothing will be the same. Adobe use of AI changes the business-cases for everybody. You can choose, or choices are made for you by talent, partners, and competition. EkaLore makes recommendations for enterprises and talent throughout the tech eco-system and users.

These To Do’s start today. They will take longer than you want. They will tell you things you may not want to know. These recommendations are for production art and related processes. EkaLore will look to manufacturing and engineering processes separately.

Process: Plan a documented process -- informal won't work the best with new tools

  1. Plan and execute on using new features and industry process changes to cut costs, speed cycles, produce volumes, and get to ‘done’ faster. Business partners and their competitors will be happy to help you improve so they can work better, faster, and cheaper on your money. Example: If you know that costs are going up (or down) do you know why you’re competitive?

  2. Reconnect with separate silos in the enterprise to get rid of frustration, learn what’s coming, and build economies of scale for the volume of production art needed. Groups in control of web sites, ecommerce, internal portals, brands, communications and relations, channels, and technologies will all have needs and wants to reconcile. Example: Does everyone know how to get what art they need in a hurry?

  3. Take the time to review intellectual properties, licensing, network access and security (and uses of encryption, credentialing, and authentication), and process-driven spend to connect all the mandates, compliance, conformance, and concerns. Example: Does everyone know how to show a counterfeit product or service using your art?

  4. Changes in the outside will force changes to process (how and costs). Doing the ‘status quo’ will make your costs higher relative to competitors. Less agility, higher costs, and less getting done is unhealthy against competitors that can execute better. Example: A competitor lowers costs thru direct marketing and social media takes market share: how can you respond effectively? – fast!

The next segments will look to the processes of engineering and manufacturing.

Previously in the Series Summary

In Parts 1 thru 4 EkaLore looked at an overview of Adobe’s continued overhaul of its products and services by applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) to speed how work gets done. Examples of how these features look at the marketplace in Part 2 were followed by a look at how the marketplace has been changed and will change in Part 3. Part 4 looked at how these new features enable process-level changes at-scale, and for small-medium-enterprises, saving money, speeding up efforts, and setting people up to make decisions. Part 5 looks at a level deeper: what enterprises (small to colossal) will act on to save money, gain process speed, and add functions not previously practical. Parts 6 and 7 are a perspective of what Adobe invading their own market will mean across functions and industries. Parts 8 and 9 pull together the most important points from the series.
