Alien Invasion of Dealerships

EkaLore has followed developments in the Auto marketplace for the past few years. We created the "Alien Invasion" Framework to shortcut the reasons that companies like Tesla and Amazon have come into markets and caught the competition flat-footed.

This new series is going to focus on the pressures on car dealerships. Based on a wide perspective, we believe that dealerships and the companies that supply them are under pressure from a variety of large trends.

These trends include business model shifts, high-interest rates, car ownership patterns, generational change, and the global push toward EVs.
