3 Crisis Exercises for Enterprise IT - Photo by Polina Tankilevitch from Pexels

Enterprise IT can consider a path suggested in a previous Ekalore Blog to cut the budget now – Cut Big, Cut Now. Now let’s look at how to make those decisions in a way that is counterintuitive to the way managers often make hard choices. This discussion comes from a perspective of management outside of enterprise IT.

These exercises are to point the way for which projects to cut. Hold on to the best talent. Great talent will learn very fast when dumped into something new when the previous person was cut. As enterprise IT in this situation that’s a trade you have to make.

As an Enterprise IT management executive can you pick the three projects that:

1) Are most likely to deliver less than 50% of objectives?

2) Has a team together that spells doom?

3) Is a project that was for the vanity of a manager? (or that the end-users no longer want)

Want extra points? – list at least two to four projects in each of #1, #2, and #3.

To Be Continued later today…
