Current Marketplace Observations #4

At the end of 2022, the “Hunt For Talent” presents several prominent issues.

What talent must be kept, and developed, or is the future? Conversely, what can be discarded now, exploited without further development, or can be replaced in the future?

How can work be best distributed to meet changed objectives (dispersed for global operations, concentrated to meet political promises, eliminated by automation, done with expense dollars until automation investment is available)?

How can talent demand be reduced to meet changed resourcing? Outsourcing can be better or worse depending on the objective and cash flows.

Killing projects not likely to provide scheduled benefits kills future improvements to uncertainty. Accelerating transformative projects has high value – what is high enough to make it worth the added costs?
