Post 18 — The Trusted Advisor Returns


The Trusted Advisor set up a phone appointment with the CEO. She said, “I’m not hearing any news about the search. The Board meeting is next week. The Board agenda backup package has to go out this week. It’s important you show progress. “


The CEO replied “I’ll put a note in explaining that this will be updated “live” because of the input from the GC and outside legal. So you know, the search is happening. It seems to be going slowly. Security is a popular talent skill set. They don’t see hospitals as places to apply. Plus, we’re not a big hospital with big salaries.”


Millie paused for a moment, cleared her throat, and said,

“The Board doesn’t care. Don’t just push your team, they know there’s pressure already. Encourage them to be creative. And Fast.”


More pressure doesn’t always create more movement. The CEO will resort to new means of persuasion.
