In our last post, the CEO and the board member Millie discussed the reaction.
The HR VP called the CIO first thing in the morning. “The Candidate accepted the offer”.
“That’s outstanding news!”
The HR VP reminded the CIO that there was still a background check to be completed. “We’re not going to announce anything until we’re through with the check. The other candidates will be told that there’s a slight pause in the search.”
“I’m going to stay optimistic”, said the CIO.
