In our last post, the CIO and HR VP picked a backup candidate now that a DUI disqualified their initial pick.
The HR VP called the CIO at the end of the day. She told him that the candidate had accepted the offer. The background check was as clean as could be.
“Finally. What’s his official start date?”, said the CIO
“He’s going to start two weeks from Monday.”
“Are there any additional background check details or tests that might disqualify this candidate?”
“None that I know of,” replied the HR VP. “It’s safe to tell the CEO. If that’s what you’re asking”
As soon as he hung up with the HR VP, the CIO messaged the CEO.
The CIO had completed his task. Now other execs were going to ask for resources drained by the search.
