In our last blog, we laid out a simple case for updating and correcting your existing prospect and customer lists. Now, let’s talk about what needs doing.
We can use internal and external sources to update and fix. Internal data includes sales orders, shipping information, and service records. External data to update and fix comes from social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook), tradeshow scans, and commercial lead services.
All this data needs to be standardized and combined. Lots of savvy salespeople, (and especially recruiters) know how to comb through multiple sources to track people down.
